People often doubt whether God listens to all our cries. Often the answer seems to be no. When we fail to receive a response in return, we often tend to conclude that our prayers never reached Him. And we forget about it. But in fact he never forgets. He knows…. I realized this during my initial days of formation. Prior to discerning my vocation, I had a deep desire to become a teacher. Even though I had a good job, something in me always moved to become a teacher. After lots of prayer I decided to give it a try. I prepared hard and gave a good exam. But I was disappointed when the results came. I failed to make into the interview list due to a margin of 1 mark. I was depressed and concluded that my prayers never reached Him. Months passed and slowly a desire to be a religious started growing in me. And finally I discerned my vocation to priesthood.
